I erased the disk, and went to reinstall osx. (OS X El Capitan 10.11) I click continue, agree, and then click on install. I put in, my Apple ID, it shows
This unit had Mavericks on it and the HD failed. I don't have a Mavericks DVD. Apple says El Capitan is compatible so tried a DVD of it on a new HD. It goes all the way through asking for the apple ID and then says 'This item is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.' The app store logo is there as well.
